The Futurium Pavilion is an innovative exhibition piece that takes visitors on an interactive journey into the future of construction. The project combines visionary architecture with cutting-edge manufacturing technology and, through a unique participatory element, allows visitors to actively engage in the creation process.

At the heart of the project is the specially developed Joyn Machine, a CNC-controlled woodworking machine that enables visitors to independently produce components. Within a defined design framework, smaller structures can be fabricated and assembled on-site, seamlessly combining traditional craftsmanship with digital precision. This interactive experience is further enhanced by a media installation that vividly communicates the production process outside of workshop hours, offering an accessible introduction to the technology.

The pavilion itself serves as an impressive exhibition piece and focal point, making the construction logic of digital timber structures visible. Its modular framework structure references the generative construction principle and, through its open design, invites exploration of the intersections between architecture, craftsmanship, and future technologies. The exhibit integrates harmoniously into the spatial context of the Futurium Lab, offering versatile functions – from an information platform to seating and gathering areas.
